Webcam problems

 

1. To view video using a web browser, you must use Internet Explorer version 5.5 or higher. If you are using any other web browser, you will not be able to view the video.

2. Click here to go to the webcam webpage.

3. Depending on which version of Internet Explorer you are using, a security warning may appear at the top of the browser screen, as shown below. Click this bar and select Install ActiveX Control...

4. A Security Warning window will appear. Click the Yes button.

5. If you are not prompted to install the plug-in, the security settings on your web browser may be set to prevent it. To change this:
click on the Tools menu
Internet Options...
Security tab
Custom Level
Look for the item
Download signed ActiveX controls
under the section
ActiveX controls and plug-ins
Set this to "Prompt"
click OK
click Yes to confirm at the warning screen.

Finally, refresh the page by pressing the F5 key.

6. If the webcam still doesn't work for you, contact your technical support person for further help with your security settings.
